Re: I hate backpackers
Shoulda stayed in the Trap, star.
I for one have NO idea what on earth you're talking about, 3 weeks in cambodia saw me stay in 5 hostels in koh rong, siem reap and phnom penh. They were all FULL of friendly outgoing individuals all chatting away to eachother. One of the best places I stayed in was $1.50 a night and full of friendly faces.
I'm 32 and was 31 when I went............ how old are you? Are you a strange person? Please be honest.

Re: I hate backpackers
The OP was an ass. He hated backpackers, locals, foreigners.. and likely himself.
Everyone on here has likely been a "backpacker" at some stage.
I used to hitch hike to festivals and sleep in hedges.
A few years later I drove around Europe and camped
in a lot of places just because it was the only way to do it.
When I went further afield I had to carry luggage but stayed in hotels.
People have their own valid reasons to get around and explore the world.
They should be encouraged to do so. Unfortunately many visitors to our esteemed
capital only schedule 48 hour visits and tend to miss out on some of the flavor.

Silence, exile, and cunning.
