soil/dirt in water
woke up today to find soil/dirt in tap water and toilet spoke to my landlord he said other tenents have said the same im at 172 his other tenents are at central market is anyone experiencing this?

Water was off since last night. It just came back on a few minutes ago... Blood red, I am not that far from you.

Mine was black and oily until about midday. I have flushed all systems extensively to clean them out.

sounds like for whatever reason, the pipes were opened up and that's why the water was shut off for a period. they'll need to be flushed out to get clean water as the earlier poster did. depending on what you're doing with the water you may want to boil it first.

When the pipes are at full pressure there may be leaks but in an outward direction. If the water is cut off external effluent can leak in through those small gaps. Some of the pipes will be going through foul soil, for example the ground under a motor shop. Those pictures are worse than I've ever seen, quite disgusting.
