Looking for quiet forest retreat

Post by Multipox »

I would like to find a small, guest house or even hotel in a wooded area, or near a wooded area.

the food does not have to be great

I am not looking for people or swimming, etc

just a pleasant quiet retreat for a few days

if possible no tuk-tuk drivers drooling all over me everytime I step outside the door
When I need advice about life, I just check in here.

Treetops in Ban Lung Ratanakiri will suit you.

Are these places packed with tourists?

"Tree Top Lodge at the end of the A'dam Restaurant road is an unusual design with stilt-house bungalows connected by elevated walkways for $12-$16. Opened by old tourism hand "Mr T", it has nice views and a typical eatery that is a shade more expensive than its peers (beer $1 - 1.25)."

Here's the Nature House Eco Lodge in Banlung for, they say, $3

You want advice on which place, and then you want me to check out how many guests there are as well? Sometimes it's quiet, sometimes it's loaded.

Sorry, I'm out of town now and not in the position to go and check for you, but you could call them.

Eco lodge is not half as nice as treetops if you like trees. Treetops are stilted bungalows in a cashew nut plantation.

If it's in a plantation, that means all the trees are planted in rows, and they are all the same type of tree.
