The worrying thing (for me) regarding the McCann disappearance is that it wasn't just poor Maddie that was left; her two younger siblings (infant twins I believe) were also left alone and unsupervised. Unbelievable; what sort of a parent would just leave three small children in a hotel room / apartment unattended?

Moreover, had the parents been of a lower social standing, e.g. living on benefits (as opposed to both being doctors / consultants), I would opine that the other two children would have been taken into care by social services when they returned to the UK.

Whilst it remains a very sad and tragic case and whether or not the poor girl was taken and / or killed, the McCanns (who have always behave like the victims) have never had to face the music (legally) for their actions. They chose to abandon three small children because a night of drinking and socialising with friends was more important than three dependants. Had they stayed in, hired a babysitter or taken the kids with them then Maddie would be alive today.

Of course, I'm assuming they had no involvement in her actual disappearance......... I'm sure the conspiracy theorists will continue in their deliberations.....
