Is this ethical?
Re: Is this ethical?
Women would not think twice to test a partner. Why men even ask if it’s ethical? But it’s all been in vain for this guy, the -to-love ratio in long-term relationships is too high. He is still single according to the OP. Better stick with bargirls.

I'd wager there's far more domestic violence and unwanted pregnancies attributed to the uneducated, lower socioeconomic group than to any other class.

A little harsh, but I see where you're coming from. I think the angle I was coming at it from was that sadly, many relationships which have a large financial imbalance between the parties, either male-heavy or female-heavy, are built on lies and deceit, and it would be ignorant to pretend otherwise. This is a general truth world-wide, not exclusive to any country or region.Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 9:03 pm Sadly, half of you believing this is genius suggests you may also have the life skills and emotional maturity of a fifteen year old.
It's not unreasonable, when entering into a relationship with a large financial imbalance, to wonder if the lesser well off partner is in it just for the money.
When I said half of me wondered if this was genius or not, I was thinking more in general terms where this sort of thing could happen anywhere. It wasn't specifically aimed at Cambodian women who go with Western men.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

Agree, a bit harsh and probably uncalled for.xandreu wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 9:59 pmA little harsh, ..Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 9:03 pm Sadly, half of you believing this is genius suggests you may also have the life skills and emotional maturity of a fifteen year old.

There are many of us who have been in many long term relationships with women (both Asian and western rich and poor) who have never had these fears, or the requirements to put women to the test, for that matter. It seems to me most reasonably balanced people who are able to maintain normal healthy relationships with friends, family, colleagues etc don't seem to have the same difficulty in choosing good people as partners, or at least begin the relationship without paranoia.
I don't believe it to be coincidental that it's those who engage in distrustful behavior who appear to have the most difficulty finding good healthy relationships. Birds of a feather...

I dated 2 women in Cambodia, the second is my wife. I just was honest from the beginning...I am not the person for you if you are looking for financial support for you or your family. I knew of others that gave some monthly amount to the girlfriend and/or her family and I said I would not do that.
And the first still asked and was rescinded not long before the relationship finished. My wife wouldn't even let me pay for her Tuk Tuks. Could be she was just more clever at playing the long game
Worked for me I didn't even need to make up any fake stories about sick family members.
