Stanford American School ignoring students sexual allegations!!!

The management of SAS Stanford American School in Phnum Penh have known for many days that sevral female students have made allegations against one of the employees. The employee (teacher) allegedly has acted and touched unappropriately his underage student’s.

How can be that no one in school is taking this seriously? While we don’t expect the teacher to be founded guilty with no proof how can be that no one is looking into this situation? How can be that this girls are still being teached by him? School supposed to be a safe environment to children and SAS school is not at present.

I'm not accusing the teacher, maybe he innocent. But the school is ignoring the girls allegations. That is not right. Maybe with pressure the school will investigate this situation.

The teachers might go on strike if the school react too harshly to those allegations.

"International" schools are businesses, not schools. Making the issue public will destroy the school's reputation and parents will avoid enrolling their kids there. As fucked as it may sound, that may be the reason why no one is batting an eye.

I would have a very difficult time working at a school that covered up sexual abuse and would view all teachers at said school as complicent. Not much difference between that and a certain poster who knew of the, "action" at the Bunny Bar IMHO

I don't know what 'many days' means, but it sounds like less than a week....

Maybe they are on top of it and they started an investigation? Some stuff just takes time....

I have had my share of this kind of shit in my education years and dealing with matters like this isn't like just filling in a form, checking a few boxes and firing the teacher. Actually it's a bit more complicated than that.

Difficult to know how to take this. On one hand, as other posters have said, it doesn't sound like it's been long since the allegations first came to light, and it's possible that investigations are taking place, albeit quietly so as to protect the reputation of the school.

On the other hand, there's absolutely nothing stopping someone with a grudge against the school or a particular teacher making these allegations or posting them on public forums maliciously.

Personally, I prefer to reserve judgement and not immediately take posts like this at face value until other information comes to light.
