Crunch. A Train Runs into a PassApp Tuk Tuk in Phnom Penh

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Most Cambodians don't turn their head to look. Anywhere other than in front is a blind spot.

ok hands up all those that didn't get my subtlety implied point, that a lot of local road users have poor observational skills, and thought I was being serious.

I thought you were being serious. A lot of people thought you were serious. If you understand like a decent person you would think it was serious. Unfortunately it was taken at face value and I will use this to make a gross generalization about the foolish people in the village.

They are not taught that at school. Let's blame the school teachers for these problems.

Some of them are too busy watching their phones for Facebook, youtube, etc, while driving. Missus and I were in a Bajaj that almost ran over a lady on a bicycle yesterday.

Driver was insistent that it was the bicyclist’s fault. The poor lady just ‘appeared’ in front of him and shouldn’t have done that.

While there are a lot of good drivers in the KOW, the few distracted ones make it a nightmare.
