Anyway, I don't understand this half a million condom thing, is this a water festival or a giant shagfest, who uses all these condoms, is it the locals suddenly go super randy or aimed at barangs. And where do all the girls come from ???.
Iv never really needed an excuse such as a water festival so it's a genuine question for those who have been here a while !!!!

Maybe the partymood leads to a lot of encounters that we would call " one night stands " in the west. Not really sure if that is possible in the otherwise still conservative society.

I think you are right. A bit like carnival, all traditional rules are suspended/slackened for a time. It would be interesting to see if the birth rates go up nine months later.
