I have good reason to believe that these are not ancient artifacts as such and more what could be termed antiques. Rare enough around these parts but nothing looted from Angkorean temples or anything like that.

He is well known in the opium world, Steve Martin. Sadly he died a while back. He wrote a lot of local guides here and the surrounding countries for lonely planet and others.
