Google Timeline

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Google Timeline

I have Google Timeline turned on in my phone so Mr Google can tell me how many times I have visited my toilet and where else I have been.

Just checking for last month Mr Google tells me I walked 25 km . Is this a good idea to let Mr Google keep track of everywhere I go and what I do ?
eg,,
If I get lost in a $3 massage place and don't come home CEO members can call the police and will know where to find me.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

And if your google account is ever compromised the perp can see where you are, where you have been, wipe your phone and generally F**K you up, it's happened many time's, Apple ID is roughly the same, set 2FA if you can be bothered, many people can't that's what makes it so easy.

Yep, a million years ago when they introduced those smart pass things for bridges I said to a bunch of friends "now wait for law enforcement and the public to use that info" most laughed, it was less than a year before an unfaithful husband found himself in divorce court and the woman's attorney used his smart pass history to show he was lying.
up to you...

That's fine, Big Brother is probably bored to death with my exciting lifestyle.

When I looked at mine I realised what a boring fucker I really am, same places, same times etc.

So now, I try to go somewhere new as often as possible just to spice up my timeline...

On my old phone, GPS and Location Services were two different settings. I'd leave GPS off and LS on and Google would duly report how far I'd walked each month (120km!). On my new phone the two services are tied together so it's off unless I need to use maps.
