Sam Rainsy blocked boarding plane in Paris

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Search the internet. It will be common knowledge soon.

He was prevented from boarding the plane in France.
he was live on FB at 7pm , looks like he given up coming back now
Thai airways denied him quoting orders from very high up Thailand
On the live video he said he will try and come different route. I would think most likely via Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia.

he knew thailand wasn't an option
why did he even try?

because he's all excuses and no determination
how does he even lead his own party, let alone a country?

Exactly. He could have come via Korea/Japan or anywhere else where his odds would have been better. All talk... Doesn't want to give up yachting near Marseilles and Saint Tropez I guess.

Which he has been for years and years. Pathetic clown he is.
What I don't understand is that there are still Khmer (and not a few) supporting him on his Facebook page with words like "you are sooo courageous!"
WHAT? Charlatan Sam Rainsy is anything but courageous...

A Thai Airways employee says exiled Cambodian opposition politician Sam Rainsy was not allowed to board a flight from Paris to Bangkok because his booking was not valid.

He said a booking in Sam Rainsy's name had been made for a new flight on Saturday.
(https://www.ksl.com/article/46669252/th ... d-in-paris)

This is consistent with something posted on TOF (mind you, yesterday already) that the flight was not for today, but changed to Saturday.

And this:
Sam Rainsy had posted a photo on his Facebook page of what he said was his ticket which showed he had a confirmed booking for the Thursday flight. The photo also showed his booking reference and ticket number, opening the possibility that it could be changed online by a third party.
