Hot Girl Didn't Have Eyes - Tearjerker

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I liked this video and think it's a good example of Khmer culture and karma.

Ooops... My apologies - I haven't had a beer yet and only watched it without sound as my kids are running riot and destroying the house.

Sorry Sorry

The debatedly 'Hot' lady looks down on street cleaner, bullies a small girl and then it turns out the small girl's father is her boss who sacks her.

What goes around comes around.

The politeness of the Khmer even under immense provocation and their belief in karma is one of their strong points in my opinion.

However their head for an eye when pushed toooo far is evident also.

Don't wind a local up and don't look down on the edjie.

I have had a big mouth sometimes and regretted it - maybe Mish is mellowing

A person shouldn’t be kind to others all for the sake of karma

The nine kinds of arrogance are explained in The Tritise on the Source of Wisdom and The Dharma Analysis Treasury.

"Arrogance and attachment to biased views are hindrances in attain Buddhahood in your future existences. You should be ashamed of them. You should fear them. Fame and honor are nothing but decorations in this life. To change your Karma, you should lay down the banner of arrogance, cast away the stave of anger. "

Pretty basic Buddhism actually. I hope this settles the debt you felt "owed". I would be happy to explain Karma to you as well if need be

Yes, thanks. Karma is not especially difficult. I thought from the opening post it’s got to do with some trait only Khmer people have in their national character. As described now, the same could be said about Thai people and probably others too.
