Cambodia to Host Motorrad Angkor Festival 2019
AKP Phnom Penh, October 24, 2019 --
Cambodia will host the first Motorrad Angkor Festival 2019 at Siem Reap province, according to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).
To take place from Dec. 6 to 9, the tournament is initiated by BMW Motorcycle Club Cambodia, to mobilise funding for humanitarian purpose and raise public awareness on road traffic safety attitude and behaviour.
It also aims to promote the development of motor sports sector, and to promote Cambodia’s tourism to the region and the world.
According to Mr. Oum Bunreth, President of BMW Motorcycle Club Cambodia, the event will be joined by 1,000 motor racers from Asian countries including Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, China and beyond.
A part from motor rally, he added, the festival will also include other events such as concert and exhibition of products related to vehicles and sport industry.
Motorrad Angkor Festival 2019 is expected to attract about 50,000 visitors, as estimated by H.E. So Khun Vireak, Deputy President of Cambodia Motor Sports Federation.
