And I quote from the MEBENDAZOLE 500mg pharmaceutical product data sheet...
Quote: Dosage Administration:
Adults and children over 2 years: One (1) Tablet given in a single administration every 4 to 6 months, the treatment should be repeated to prevent reinfection of the helmiths. End Quote.
And from the same product data sheet:
ACTIONS:
Mebendazole, a benzimidazole derivative,is an antihelmitic with broad spectrum of activity against most nematodes and some other worms. It is effective against some larval stages of round worms, pinworms, whipworms and hookworms...and ova of roundworms and whipworms.
So there we have it from the pharmaceutical product Data Sheet.
Now please quote your pharmaceutical product data source.

I cannot find any pharmaceutical product data on coka cola or Pepsi, but if I could I would believe it before I believed anything reported by the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Re: Parasites
albendazole and mebendazole are different.
mebendazole stays in the digestive tract. It is useless against anything
in the lung, skin, heart, or anywhere else. It is largely only good at
pinworms.
albendazole is absorbed into the system. So it would be great except that
it is unable to deal with many of the helminths.
None of the animals being discussed on the thread are worms.
Helminths are the starting point for germ warfare, like killing Bobby fischer
or that Palestinian leader from a while back. This is why America has declared
it illegal to discuss the issue. You could use helminths and migratory birds if
you wanted to spread swine flu through China for example.
WHO has a drug which is given special status in the fight against helminths.
Because it could provide protection against a bio weapon attack, it is considered
a bio weapon itself and there will be little discussion about making it widely available.
There are so many helminths that if everything in your view disappeared EXCEPT
the helminths, you would probably be able to see the outlines of trees, buildiings,
power lines, even ATM machines.

Abstract
A clinical trial to compare the effectiveness of 4- and 6-mo repeated treatment with albendazole 600 mg (Zentel, SmithKline Beecham) or mebendazole 600 mg (Vermox, Janssen) on geohelminth infections was carried out on children in 6 primary schools; the study included 1,186 children, ages 4 to 19 yr. Kato-Katz examination was performed on stool samples before and after treatment. Overall, albendazole produced better cure rates and egg reduction rates for geohelminths. The cure rates for albendazole were 92.4% for hookworm infection, 83.5% for Ascaris lumbricoides, and 67.8% for Trichuris trichiura. Mebendazole given either 2 or 3 times in a year had cure rates of 50 and 55.0% (respectively) for hookworm, 79.6 and 97.5% for A. lumbricoides, and 60.6 and 68.3% for T. trichiura infection. The geometric mean intensity of hookworm eggs per gram (epg) of stool decreased by 96.7% after albendazole treatment compared with 66.3 and 85.1%, respectively, for 2 or 3 doses of mebendazole (P < 0.05) over the same period. Reductions in epg for A. lumbricoides and T. trichiura were comparable for both drugs. Our results indicate that treatment with albendazole at a 6-mo interval was more effective than mebendazole regimens and may be the best choice for use in the control of the 3 geohelminths.
Doesn't sound like they're the same. IANAD

Re: Parasites
Like I said, not same. One is better, but still not good enough.
Notice that they are doing stool tests? not looking to gross you out
but cleaning up the intestinal tract should be the easiest part.
It looks like they don't care if you have lungworms. Or worms (they aren't worms)
migrating through your lymph systems. I care about that. They are in denial
of the need to even talk about identification and cure. Doctors, some of whom
are presumptuous enough to talk of themselves as experts, would do better
to hear what large groups of people are saying. Not just their small group of patients.
You have to do better than mebendazole and albendazole. WHO knows.
