Blind and traveling USA to Cambodia in two days!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Mishmash wrote: Wed Oct 23, 2019 4:11 pm According to the OP he arrived on the 13th and was booked into Raffles for 12 Days so his last day is tomorrow.

If I was him, I would have been a trifle skeptical of posting further on here, despite everyone's well meaning.

Calling his current lady and maybe future wife, some damn disgusting names without a shred of evidence.

My God - if people did that out and about it's fighting talk, so perhaps it's beneath his dignity to rise to the bait.

I confess to doubting the tale of rude Raffles staff.

He may yet post and I hope he does.

I would like to see a happy ending, despite the warning signs and I hope he had a great adventure here.
I thought he said he was in Raffles, then off to the Province on Friday 18th for a couple of nights and then onto Siem Reap? I agree some of the name calling was unnecessary although some of the reds flags it raised with people who have been here a while, Danny K's bar especially, pushing him to move into Lux, telling him not to leave his money in Raffles and the Card issue with the brother-in-law, were enough to arouse suspicion among most of us without resorting to besmirching the ladies name. There was for the most part genuine concern, especially after hearing nothing since the concerns were raised and when he was off to the province.

I agree with everything said bro. I'm honestly of the same opinion. It's just saying 'be careful' and outright name calling of his GF is maybe a bit much for a visitor.

I do wish we received an update, and feel that part would put anyone off.

This may forever be a mystery novel now.

Good evening David,

Since you alone can answer this question, l feel the spectators are fielding the wrong team. So did you stop because such cretonus fantasies become unworthy of a reply or was your silence a last ditch attempt to salvage your dignity.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

Well we don't know. Everyone is free to post here. Would it be better if the mods checked all members credentials before allowing them to post on CEO ? What do you expect on an open forum ? I like anonymous postings myself. If the OP is a genuine person, do you think he'd post about his private life under his real name ?
As it is, we don't know if David is real or not. However, even if it's a wind-up,the thread might help other men to discern red flags if they decide to come to Cambodia for the first time and meet their online "girlfriend" IRL, so the information is still valuable IMO.
People here have tried (mostly) to be helpful. :hattip:

Lol. Just wait until Monty starts posting.
Hope he'll post under his real name so we recognise him. (Monty, the blind dog 8) )

I think there is an ex-French Foreign Legionnaire sitting with his Brabus Benz driving Doctor/ girlfriend pissing himself laughing between asking lesbians in an elevator for a threesome and hiding in plain sight at the gym from his bunny boiler one nightstand.

If he was a troll it was on the next level of trolling. Most trolls we've had are absolute morons who can barely form a coherent thought or write a sentence.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
