You said cambodian beggars wouldnt be accepted in europe. The uk as it stands is in europe and pretty much accepts any cunt.any city in the uk has tons of foreign beggars, scammers, misfits.the cambodian type would fit in fine albeit the weather.John Bingham wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 8:54 pmCan you please start a new thread about your concerns instead of muddying this one up with your unsubstantiated nonsense?Soriya wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 8:49 pmThe UK accepts any cunt and treats them better than the natives born and bred thereAnchor Moy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 8:12 pmJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 8:04 pm Every important or capable country should have a representative on the ground. They have never been about helping their helpless ordinary citizens who get themselves in trouble abroad. No country, especially the UK, can afford that kind of shit.
It should be important for a "first-world" country - even if it's just for public image and relations - that they look after their own people, and that they don't leave third world countries the responsibility of looking after their down and out citizens.
I cringe when I see first world beggars here in Cambodia. It's upside down. Cambodian beggars would never be accepted into Europe or USA or Australia.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

I'm sitting in my local pub in deepest rural Kent. It's a delightful mix of locals and Eastern European expats, with a couple of Thais and a good number of Nepali Gurkha retirees. It's not all rotten in UK.
Having been the beneficiary of consular assistance in the past, in a foreign land, I can vouch for the great work that a British Embassy can do. (Long story for another time.)
On the other hand, an ex colleague of mine, being pursued by the police in a high speed car chase, mistakenly thought driving into the grounds of the embassy would help him escape punishment for drink driving. 1. It didn't. The embassy handed him straight back to the police for arrest. 2) He was lucky not to get shot. 3) Embassies have specific roles, usually around trade & industry and maintaining diplomatic relations. They're not here to help down-on-their luck citizens.
It should be important for a "first-world" country - even if it's just for public image and relations - that they look after their own people, and that they don't leave third world countries the responsibility of looking after their down and out citizens.

If that was really true, the UK would screen every citizen with a ticket to the Kingdom of Wonder for mental health, physical fitness, and financial security.Soriya wrote:And an embassies role is also to protect its citizens abroad.
Those they don’t pass, don’t get in.
That way, the chance of rescuing a deadbeat Brit would be nil.
Of course, that would only leave British Okhnas left in Cambodia and not any of us.
Embassies are not an extension of the welfare state back home (at least in my understanding).

Why do people have to quote a load from previous comments. It fucks up the post. Admin make a rule please, unneccessary to keep quoting. Look at the state of this thread. Sheesh.
