Thanks Mish, for the trip back to innocence, to pure simple humanness, and to the really important basics of life.

For some of us, particularly those without kids, it is nice to be taken for a moment - away from of our heads full of the complicated, ludicrous, "worldly" concerns of adults.

Nice post. Best wishes to her. Such a rare occurance on CEO. May I please ask a general consensus of how many posts on CEO are "positive". Deaths in guest houses, expats living on the street and deported, stolen money and phones, carnage on the roads, etc, etc. Really, what percentage are positive? It would be great to see more. Is this the reality of living in Cambodia or those things of most interest to CEO.

That's not anything specific to this forum or even Cambodia. The news reported anywhere is generally not positive.

Definite thumbs up from me also. Agree with @phuketrichard that at that age it is indeed all about socialising with other kids more than anything. My son joined the Learning Jungle kindergarten pretty much as soon as they'd take him (2y?) and he just hit 6 yesterday - he absolutely adores school - and I mean adores to the point of being angry if school is closed! - and all his friends; and he's been doing 8am-4pm (now 5pm) since day 1.

Hope your little girl loves her school just as much, nothing like the smile of your kids after you get home from work with whatever day you've had, and they're all excited about who they saw, or what they did at school. Great times as a parent.

There are many positive news items posted by CEO News, but we notice that they get less reads than the more sensational news on the forum.
What gets posted is also up to members and what they want to read, so let us know if there are subjects that you would like to see more of...

So funny being angry when school is closed. It's really fantastic to hear that he loves learning and has an amazing father like you.

I think from the other threads that there are many genuine people on here who are interested in finding good schools like Learning Jungle.

I actually took a risk posting as I was so used to the hard bitten cynicism and was surprised to find so many others supportive and caring fathers on here.

My Khmer friends will be happy to learn that - for sure, as they look to us for guidance and are disappointed when confronted with the motley crew and 'usual suspects' in the news.

I sincerely wish your son all the best in his life.

Unfortunately that’s human nature. Violence and death (and sex) sells more than butterflies or goodness. Emotions trumps logic. Maybe it’s part of the hardwiring of the human psyche.
