Something Positive
Something Positive
Here is something I would like to share with you.
My daughter's first day at school.
It brings a glimmer of hope into life.
To all the parents on here I wish you the best.

That's touching, Mishmash. Thanks for sharing.
What a brave girl. Not a tear in sight. I hope it was a great first day!

Good one,,, and make sure those photos are kept somewhere so she can see them in ten years and twenty years time, and again when she sends her kids to school in maybe thirty or fourty years from now.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Which school is this?
Is it purely Khmer language, or an English curriculum?
Location?
Cost.
PM. If you prefer.
I suspect that our two shall be changing school again judging by the attitude demonstrated by the Head teacher at Suvarnabhumi.

Jasmine is Kindergarten here for 25$ a month.
I gave up Sovanniphumi as was getting nowhere with my son. 2 years behind in development.
I send him to school really just for social skills and friendship in a secure environment.
The academic side as discussed in another thread we have to homeschool.
Saying that - this school is friendly and approachable. It's become quite popular in my Sangkat.
Thanks for the encouragement @Freightdog

Until year 4 or so thats all school is about + simple english language skills. I still look back at my daughters photos from her first day at the Montessori school here in Phuket (2000) and wonder....I send him to school really just for social skills and friendship in a secure environment. ..
where did the years go....?
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
