Suspects arrested by police in the restaurant chain "Thim Bar"
on: September 30, 2019

Siem Reap, Cambodia News: On the fternoon of 30 September 2019 there was a verbal dispute in the restaurant "Tim Bar" which became violent when two suspects, one man and one woman, hit a man with a wine glass.
Siem Reap police said this afternoon that the two suspects were charged with aggravated assault (using a glass of wine), after there was an argument where they attacked the victim, 29-year-old military man Chhay Vathanak .

The victim called the police and has deposed a complaint against Lao Jing Li and the woman, and Siem Reap's special police force is currently working on a case to send the two suspects to court for legal action.

No matter the motivation, this is one of the most cowardly acts to attack with glass.

I thought it was the haircut style and the blue and white striped prison shirt that was the giveaway.

UPDATE: Tep Sopheaktra, the friend of the victim, is said to have provoked the aggression by making a remark about the woman, who is the other man's girlfriend.

After questioning the suspects, Liu Jingly and his girlfriend Ngo Li Huy, they admitted that they did indeed beat up Chhay Vidhana (the principal victim) and his friend Tep Sopheaktra, as well as insulting and slapping a police officer.
Both the victim and the assailant were wounded on their right hands.

Now, the police force of Siem Reap is preparing to file a case against the couple to take legal action.
