In all the provinces of Thailand that border on Cambodia, I see lots of very dark-skinned people, either Khmer or Kuy (ភាសាកួយ) or Chong (របស់), depending which county.
My own niece is a different colour from the rest of her family because of the Kuy mix. There are loads of Kuy (like a cousin language to Khmer). Many Thai women I met in the UK from Surin and Sisaket are Kuy and speak Khmer, Isan (Lao), Thai, Kuy, as well as English. I just wondered whether there were certain ethnic groups that were darker.
