I am not allowed anymore overland entries in to Thailand this year, and require a visa for Vietnam. I guess i wouldn't need to actually need to go to another country, just go to the border. Then why not at the embassy in PP? Maybe an agent with greasy palms can sort the whole thing out for me, change the (T) to an (E) and extend for 6 months? I will inquire.

edit. i read the other posts, i guess it is a border run after. no need to :whip:

Technically inside the embassy you're in the other country. Pity it doesn't work like that for visas though. Would make things rather easier. Australian embassy would charge you US$51 for that though.

@dave the wave just grab a cheap return flight to a neighbouring country, you don't even need to pass through immigration into that country, just transit in the airport then return to Cambodia, simple.

Or go to a border crossing with VN, exit Cambodia, don't enter VN, sit down with a couple beers then return. But there's always the risk of not being issued the E-type Visa with land borders, I recommend flying.

Are you saying you can exit Cambodia overland to Vietnam, NOT enter Vietnam an return to Cambodia and they do NOT check to see if you have an entry/exit stamp from Vietnam??
