Incorrect.
Many times it’s someone who is owed money trying to find the person who owes them. Or a pissed off ex girlfriend, that’s sometimes the case too.
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

Uh, yes it is:

Mattutat / Mett / Mette / Mattick / Mattke / Mattner / Mattulat / Mattukat / Matutis / Mattutis / Mattejat / Meth / Mettin / Metschies / Metschulat ...
Mattutat (1700), Mett (1708)
I think what alex was getting at is that "meth," short for methamphetamine is never a German family name.

His Couchsurfing profile says he logged on a day ago so he's maybe okay?

His Girlfriend left this review on his profile so maybe it's relationships probs?

"What was memorable about Chris? I have plenty of good memories with Chris. We were in a relationship for 1 year. He was a good man, a good friend, always listened to every tiny thing I told him. He is knowledgeble, he told me many things about the world and history. I respect him a lot and counted on him everytime I needed help. He's not a great man with big career or fortune. He is just a man with a soft heart. But that was all I want. We just went to have coffee every morning, hand in hand. He kissed me million times and asked me how did I sleep everyday. And we went to the local market to buy fresh food, then went home and cooked. At night we were on the sofa watching a movie. That was the simple life I've always wanted. I didn't ask for big house or car, or anything else but himself. I accepted who he was and who he is now.

But now, he chose to left me without saying a word, cut all contacts and left me behind with so much responsibilities of everything. I still want to believe he is still the sincere guy I met one year ago. And there is always a way to go back home. Please never forget that. When you feel tired, lost, don't know where to go, you know where to find me."
