Malis Restaurant review

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

This is not BS, and not only recipes were lost but also affected many arts like traditional dance, music, carving techniques and so on.
I failed to find a Cambodian cooking book from the 1950-1970 period, actually I can’t even find a restaurant menu from the past Image

Given the marked class divide, Traditional Khmer dishes in pre 1950s rural kitchens were probably not serving lighly steamed fish amok with a delicate neem leaf garnish.

She says "Verbally". I find it hard to believe that everyone who could cook died or left the country during that time.
