No wonder the tourist numbers are dropping. They need more partly clad females roaming around competing against the stone cold ones carved on the walls.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Well. This is how Cambodia is advertised abroad… They are poor little brown people in need of your dollars.Jesus, mary, holy mother of God, that's what i came half way around the world for, to give a couple of bags of candy to some authentic starving school kids...
You cheated on your wife with your secretary? Come to Cambodia and earn yourself some karma points! Post a picture of yourself with a dirty looking brown kid, and watch all your FB friends giving you likes like never before. Chances are, people will call you mother Theresa once you get back to that depressing cubicle of yours.
It kinda is (just like the Statue of Liberty is just a steel structure near Battery Park. Not that impressive in comparison to Ellis Island). Not Angkor Wat itself, but the entire complex. Apsara Authority did who knows what with the money collected through the sale of tickets. The place sure is falling apart faster than it should. I’ve seen historical monuments older than Angkor Wat in much better shape.Lol. That is hilarious. Angkor Wat is full of f'king rocks.
They should. It’s filthy. The sad part is, Apsara did use some cement (or whatever it is) to fix parts of the complex and it looks like absolute shit.^^ I'm with the second last guy, "Ruins". They really should make a serious effort to restore the place. (Get some cement to fill in the cracks, and a coat of paint will make it much nicer looking).
I get that a lot of you long-timers get touchy whenever someone says anything bad (or just too real) about Cambodia. But the facts are there. The place is filthy. The tourist spots are disappointing. The locals in tourist areas (especially if one has no understanding of the local culture and/ or the language) can be perceived as a bunch of assholes. Nobody wanna spend 10 hours on a plane only to swim in an ocean of plastic while two street kids are jacking your stuff. I mean, seriously. Cambodia reminds me of Trailer Park Boys sometimes.
Some of you will say “they should have done their homework. What a bunch of dumbasses.” Well. First of all, no one is trying to do some PhD level research only to go on a two-week vacation. Vacation = relaxation. PhD research = fuck no. Second, when you do “some” research about Cambodia, all you see is how Sihanoukville is heaven on earth and Angkor Wat is up there with Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. It’s all a web of lies. Cambodia isn’t what it’s cracked up to be and the word is getting out
