Chinese firm announces investment in aquaculture

Post by Adam Xie »

Khmer times:

On Monday Grand Hong Yean Aquaculture’s farm received a visit from Agriculture Minister Veng Sakhon. During the minister’s visit, the company revealed its expansion plans.

“We are now conducting breeding tests in our grow-out ponds,” Soub Sara Bunty, a representative of the company, told the minister.
“In the grow-out ponds, the shrimps are grown to a marketable size, which takes about three months,” he said, adding that 1 kilogram of shrimp can fetch more than $10.
