Another building self destructed near the brewery today. Saves on demolition costs I suppose.

Cambodian officials recently ordered the demolition of 14 recently constructed buildings in Sihanoukville, including a number of casino hotels that were found to be dangerously flawed following a building collapse in June which killed 28 workers.
"The place is in chaos," said Brad King, managing director of Cambodia Real Estate.

Two more five-star hotel projects in Sihanoukville have been approved
(Phnom Penh) - The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has just approved two new giant five-star hotel projects in Preah Sihanouk province with a capital investment of almost US$400 million.
According to the CDC, they have issued a Certificate of Registration to the following companies:
1: HAI GANG GRAND HOTEL CO., LTD. The five-star hotel construction project is located in Village 6, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville, with a total investment of $ 153 million and can generate 981 jobs.
2: XIGANG V-CONTINENT INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT CO., LTD. The construction and business of a five-star hotel located in Village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk Province with approx. US $ 226 million and will create 1,668 jobs.

With online gambling gone the focus must now be on attracting tourists- and not just the Chinese.
The environment , infrastucture and building safety top of the list.
Crime seems to be being tackled by the Khmer Authorities head on which is positive.
Long way to go on many fronts but no other option.!!!!
