Line up: The Kampot official is second from the end on the right of the photo.

UPDATE: Two cars with ten people arrived at the Kampot petrol station to fill up their cars, there was a dispute over payment, and then things turned nasty.

Apart from the Kampot official, nine other people, including four women, were arrested following the incident of violence which took place at the Total Station on the Saltworkers Roundabout in Kampot. There was a fight between Total staff and the occupants of the two cars, and after police arrived on the scene they arrested and searched everyone, and found that most of them were carrying drugs. Nine bags of methamphetamine were confiscated by the authorities after body and car searches.

The chief suspect in the incident is confirmed to be a police officer. He and some others in the gang assaulted an 18-year-old service station employee, in an unprovoked attack.
Kampot provincial police on Sunday arrested a National Police officer and nine others over the alleged assault of a petrol station employee in Kampot city.
A provincial police report identified the officer as Lieutenant Soun Tosethpitou, 30, a deputy police chief in the National Police’s central department of public order.
It identified the others, four of whom were women, as Seng Sopheaktra, 20; Kan Senghuy, 20; Kim Chen, 22; Thai Panha, 22; Soth Chamroeun, 28; Khim Sreytoch, 26; Heng Sreyleap, 29; Roth Dalin, 25; and Heng Sopher, 25.
