We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Eight nabbed during drug raid on guesthouse
Police in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district on Friday arrested three suspected drug traffickers and five alleged users during a raid at a guesthouse in Phsar Thmey II commune.

Colonel Tieng Chansar, district police chief, yesterday said they were arrested at about 4.30pm during the raid by commune police.

“We have arrested eight people, including the guesthouse owner,” he said, adding that police are still questioning the suspects before sending them to the municipal court.

Col Chansar did not identify them and declined to comment further.

The National Police website identified those arrested for trafficking as Phai Kunthy, 39, the guesthouse owner, Ra Sumchaysi, 28, one of its security guards, and Chhuon Tha, 33, a known drug trafficker.
