Indian Navy on Friendly Visit to Sihanoukville
Indian Naval Ships Visit Cambodia
AKP Phnom Penh, September 05, 2019 --
Indian Naval Ships INS SAHYADRI commanded by Capt Ashwin Arvind and INS KILTAN commanded by Cdr Ginto George Chacko made a port call at Sihanoukville from Sept. 05-08, 2019, according to a press release from the Indian Embassy.
"This ship visit forms part of the Indian Navy’s ongoing goodwill visit to South East Asia region," it added.
Besides professional interaction between personnel of both the Navies, the programme will include official calls and interaction with dignitaries of the Cambodian Government. Guided tours for Indian Navy personnel and sports events between both Navies are also planned. The local populace will get opportunity to visit the Indian ship. On its way out, Indian Navy and Royal Cambodian Navy will undertake PASSEX.

LOL, reminds me..
I used to live just over the road from Bondi beach, with a fab view over everything - the beach, the surf, Tahiti in the distance..
Whenever the Indian navy was in town, the topless sun-bakers would be closely encircled by groups of smart white-uniformed young sailors and officers - perving and taking photographs
All the other Navies of the world go to Kings Cross and pay their 40 or 50 bucks - these guys get their rocks off for free, at the beach.
The local girls ain't gonna profit much from this bunch being in town.

New Delhi: As part of Indian Navy’s Overseas Deployment to South East Asia and Western Pacific, Indian Navy ships Sahyadri and Kiltan are making a port call at Sihanoukville, Cambodia from 05 – 08 Sep 19. The ships are part of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet under the Operational Command of Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, based at Visakhapatnam. The port call is a demonstration of India’s warm ties with Cambodia.
IN Ships Sahyadri, under the command of Capt AshwinArvindand Kiltan, under the command of CdrGinto George Chacko, are the latest, indigenously designed and built multi-role Guided Missile Stealth Frigate and Anti-Submarine Warfare Corvette respectively. The two ships are equipped with a versatile array of weapons and sensors, can carry multi-role helicopters and represent the ‘coming of age’ of India’s warship building capabilities.
During the port call, there would be professional interactions between personnel of both the navies, official calls and interaction with dignitaries of the Royal Cambodian Navy. In addition, social engagements, visits by the local populace and various sports events are also planned during the visit. On completion of the visit, Indian Navy and Royal Cambodian Navy ships would be undertaking a Passage Exercise at sea, to further build on the levels of interoperability between the navies to ensure peaceful and secure seas for all.

Indian naval ship INS SAHYADRI Hosts a Party in Sihanoukville

Cambodia News, Sihanoukville: On the evening of 7 September 2019, the Admiral Tea Vinh, Deputy Commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander of the Royal Navy, and H.E. Ms. Manika Jain, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, addressed the participants who were attending a party hosted by Captain Ashwin Arvind, the Commander of the Indian naval ship INS SAHYADRI, in Sihanoukville, during the goodwill visit of INS SAHYADRI and INS KILTAN in Cambodia.
The Cambodian Minister of Information H.E. Khieu Kanharith and many other senior Cambodian government officials also attended the party.
