Re: website maker recommendations
Wordpress is pretty straight forward. Need to watch a few youtube tutorials, but all out there
Re: website maker recommendations
I always do my own websites but if you need help is easy can PM me. I have time to show you how.
1) Register Domain - pay money
2) Get Cpanel Hosting - pay money - emails included.
3) Install Wordpress - free
4) Use a theme - like One Page Express (modern sites are just one page with likes at top for scrolling) - free
5) Add SSL certificate so get green padlock and https:// - free but is a few steps to install - or you can pay when you pay the hosting fees
5) if you need backend like shopping cart then you can add later - free
If you follow the steps is mobile friendly
All you need to think about is the content.
you can look at https://www.a1mepsupply.com for an example - took around a week to do the content.. is not that good but it does the job for me .

download a pirate copy of dreamweaver. its pretty much what you see is what you get. i found it very easy to use.
you'll need a domain and hosting. what you pick will depend on expected traffic to your site

Re: website maker recommendations
Depends what you need it for...
Easiest but limited: Wix https://www.wix.com/
Moderate to advanced (learn as you go): WordPress https://wordpress.com/
Depending on what sector you want to build a site for,
You have some specialized builders (like https://www.lodgify.com/ for holiday rentals).
just noise, white noise

For what you need the website for? If you plan to use it to make money, just hire some professional to do it for you. Let us know what you need for it and what is your budget and I can recommend pro for you.
If you need just some simple site that has info and contact details check https://www.squarespace.com/ or if you want blog for yourself https://wordpress.com/

Thank you - you are right - the free ones by let's encrypt are valid three months.
I was lazy to upload the new ones even after I received the email saying renew.
I'll do it now.
