Cambodia Breaking News (Sihanoukville): Police at Preah Sihanouk International Airport, in cooperation with local Sihanoukville officials, deported three Chinese nationals, two women and one man on 6 September 2019. They were detained for drugs, having no passport, and residing illegally in Cambodia.
HE WENZHI, a 28-year-old male from China, was received by the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police on 27 July 2019, in connection with an illegal drug offense. SHADIYA ROUZI, a 34-year-old Chinese national, was arrested for the crime of illegal residence in Cambodia with no passport, and the third person, NUREYAMU NUERDUN, a 26-year-old Chinese national was also arrested for staying in Cambodia without a passport.

The three Chinese nationals were expelled from Cambodia from Sihanoukville airport on board flight ZA459 (KOS-CHN), returning to their home country, and they have been banned from entering Cambodia for three years.

It may sound like that, but might be a bit more difficult and I don't expect they'll be back in the next 3 or even 30 years. I have no idea what happens to these criminals who get deported back to the PRC, but it's my understanding that they are pretty tough on crime there. I'm not sure whether they will take into account that these people were acting recklessly in a foreign country and giving people a bad impression of Chinese people?
Silence, exile, and cunning.

These might be one of the container ship people. Rumors of Chinese already in prison, given the option to either serve out the rest of their sentence in prison or sent to Cambodia to work in Westport. Without passport. Probably sent by container in the middle of the night.

Lady might be smiling because prison might be better than her current life in Westport.

All speculation and conjecture, of course.

I did a brief google with a few different keyword combos,
but with so many deportation issues around the world i could not find anything relevant.
All China-criminal-deportation references were talking about countries wanting to export chinese crims**
- but i could find nothing hard about their reception back in China. (**No shortage of those ^^ stories :) )

Just the general vague view that they may be subject to arrest upon arrival.
