Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): On September 2, 2019, at 9:30 pm, an unidentified woman went to file a complaint at the police station because she got assaulted and threatened by her boyfriend. The suspect was identified as Dara, 25 years old, lived in a rented house in Khan Meanchey.

The woman victim said she had been in a relationship with the suspect for two months. The suspect often attacked her for no reason. On that day, she went to Koh Pich with her family by car, so she called her boyfriend. When he arrived there, she left the car and took a motorbike with him back to the rented house. On the way, he hit her. When they came home, he attacked her and locked her in a room. She posted a live video asking for help, but the suspect told her to delete the video, threatening to kill her.

She tried to convince him to let her out. When he released her, she called her family and went to the police station to file the complaint. The suspect ran away to escape.
