Chinese Man Dies in Phone Snatch Attack, Phnom Penh

Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): An unidentified Chinese man has died from his injuries after getting pulled from a tuk-tuk by a phone snatcher on August 29, 2019, at 9:30 pm, on street 173/310, Sangkat Toul Svay Prey, Khan Beung Keng Kong, Phnom Penh.

According to the tuk-tuk driver, before the incident, he was taking the victim from Eco KTV and drove on street 173 in a west to east direction. Suddenly, the suspect rode up on a motorbike close to the tuk-tuk and snatched a phone from the victim.
The victim was pulled out of the moving tuk-tuk and fell on the road. He was badly injured and passed away on the way to the hospital.

The suspect drove away and escaped from the scene. The victim's body was taken to keep at the Steung Meanchey pagoda, waiting for the police to contact the family. RIP.
