renewed my tourist visa yesterday at immigration office for $30...

Post by wolfcreek »

In and out in under 10 minutes. Told me to pick it up one week later. Various visa agents around town had told me it would cost $40-$45 if I did it myself (they wanted $50-$52 to do it for me).

Sorry but what do you mean by renewed ? We cannot renew a visa from inside the country, maybe you mean extended ? Thank you.

Oh please, you can't renew a tourist visa from outside the country either because it's a single use visa that expires when you leave so you need to apply for a new visa.

If you want to be a pedantic bore at least get it right. It is extremely clear what OP meant.

Great, I've always disliked paying $47 to Lucky for their 2 week service.

I heard so many things about immagration, but my experience there was MUCH more pleasant than any of the agents I've been to who seem to find new ways to take your money, that said I'm sure there are more legit ones. Immigration office was fast and friendly I'd say. See lots of foreigners walking in with inane questions about things they haven't researched and staff not fully understand though, I guess most negative review of the office are from these types.
