VN was not accompanying any Cambodians after early 1972. Even earlier, generally.
The KR beat the US backed government forces by themselves.
- albeit with Chinese help, and heaps of captured US equipment.- but not as much materiale, money, bombing support and tactical assistance that USA was providing the gov forces.

But yes. HE won everything, in the end.
Because the people voted for him.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Yep.
Something the kids don't know, and even us old fools sometimes forget - just how long the cambodian tragedy played out for. And exactly how bad it was. Remember.
We would have dreamed for even HE's democracy back then. This would have seemed like paradise.
Not apologising for anyone - but good to remember occasionally.
