Police Investigate Sihanoukville Family Deaths by Poison
Cambodia Breaking News (Sihanoukville): On August 20, 2019, at 8 pm, three people died of poisoning in Sangkat 2, Sihanoukville.
The victims were identified as Ly Keng, 43 years old, and his daughter, Ly Sievchhing, 12 years old, who died at home, and his wife, Meung Chanphal, 41 years old, who died on the way to the hospital.
The police haven't determined what caused the victims' death yet, but consider the circumstances to be suspicious. It is suggested that one of the family members may have deliberately put the poison in the food to kill the family. The police are investigating the case.

Re: Police Investigate Sihanoukville Family Deaths by Poison
(Sihanoukville): UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the woman killed her husband and daughter with poison before killing herself. They died at the house, and she died later in Sihanoukville Referral Hospital at 23:20 on 20 August.
The only motive suggested for the horrendous crime is that the husband and wife were always fighting. Poor kid. RIP.
The bodies of the family are now being laid to rest at Wat Insan Pagoda, which is located in Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville, where relatives will arrange the funeral rites.

Murder-suicide in Sihanoukville
A woman in Preah Sihanouk province killed her husband and daughter with poison, before ingesting the same substance herself, according to police.
Major General Chuon Narin, provincial police chief, said the woman was Moeng Sophal, a 41-year-old hairdresser, who later died in hospital.
He added that the victims were Ly Kheng, Ms Sophal’s 43-year-old husband, and Ly Sivchhing, their 12-year-old daughter. Both were found dead in their rental house in Sihanoukville on Tuesday.
Maj Gen Narin said the murder took place at about 8pm, when Ms Sophal mixed poison into food she gave her husband and daughter. She later ingested the same substance and died in hospital, he added.
“According to police investigation, we found that the wife had an argument with her husband,” Maj Gen Narin said. “She then poisoned her husband and daughter, killing them.”
“After poisoning them, she locked the door to the house and committed suicide by taking the poison herself. She died in hospital after she was rescued by police officers,” he added. “Experts from the provincial police are still investigating on where she obtained the poison from.”
