A study from The United States Studies Center at the University of Sydney in Australia released a report about the military superiority of the US in the Indo-Pacific region.
It is a long read !America no longer enjoys military primacy in the Indo-Pacific and its capacity to uphold a favourable balance of power is increasingly uncertain.

And then Japan invaded China in 1937, and launched the Sino-Japanese war. On August 1, 1941, US president Franklin Roosevelt showed his displeasure by establishing an embargo on oil and gasoline exports to Japan. Three months later, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.

Now, Australia has leased the Port of Darwin to China.
