Apart from PP, SHK, KEP, Kampot & Siem Reap....

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Plenty of work and not much competition in the bee keeping business , so I am told.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

If you come for the food, run to Thailand. Will beat Cambodia on nearly every dish.

If you want to see places, make a tour from Phnom Penh - Kampong Chhnang - Battambang - Siem Reap - Preah Vihear - Stueng Treng - Kratie - Mondulkiri - Ratanakiri - back to Kampong Cham - Phnom Penh. You could add Kampot - Kep or Koh Kong if needed. Will keep you busy for 4-5 weeks with lots of different things to see and do.

<edit>
Don't forget that even though Cambodia isn't that large travelling will take a relatively large amount of time, especially if you use public transport.

Frank I would think its going to change, I know of a few Khmer establishment's taken on by Chinese when the contracts end. I also hear the Khmer places on the beach have their marching orders. Before I went for my op, I looked at a land plot out of town and made some arrangements, but on returning the price had tripled. So much has been sold too because the Khmer friend who have sold plenty have retired in Thailand. One of the officers of the works and labour department asked me if I knew any Chinese teachers, because she needed to learn very quick. There is also more to say but I think you get the picture.
Koh Kong pays $300 to $400 for teaching in their schools.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Lots of competition with wild honey collecting in Koh Kong, over $100,000 per year of it.
