Where Have All The Crazies Gone ?

Having lived in PP and Cambodia around 1996 I recently returned and was surprised how tame the expats were . Gone are the hard drinking and whoring journalists ,teachers and travellers, and instead are Mormons , flashpackers and respectable tourists on holiday .
Are there any crazy boys left out there ?

3-4 post on here, most of the expat community consists of grey flannel suits trying to travel incognito and other assorted dullards..

It's a bit weird that you'd think the expat demographics would remain unchanged despite the country itself being virtually unrecognizable from 1996. Most of the guys I know from that era don't really go out anymore.

Hell many of them died or moved on. Especially journalists who fought and lost the uphill battle.

I'd imagine most of the heavy drinkers are now dead, along with the heavy drug users

People who live crazy lives generally don't live long lives, unless they make a lifestyle change

The next generation is there but, might be harder to spot due to generational differences and are more discreet due to pc culture being hammered into them. I still go strong and late into the night but, tend to try to keep a lower profile then 10 years ago. I'd have to agree that the previous generation has either died, have medical issues or just mellowed with age.
