While these social hiccups are encouraging to me, I wonder why the Cambodian National Rescue Party has been so silent when events seem to be business as usual. I was no a fan of Sam Rainsey, but I supported the goals of the party that he, unfortunately was the head of. They don't need to grow a voice they need to grow a pair.

On that note...where is the dissent regarding the Refugee deal? Over a year ago it was a cry of "Yuon has taken everything!" And "Yuon out!". Now, just an awkward silence. How much of the $10mill per year is he getting a %age of???

Re: Cambodia Growing a Voice
we make the assumption that money is going to get pocketed, and i make the same assumption as well, but just for speculations sake... what if it isn't?
what if the gov't really is going to put it to good use for the country? would we still be so outraged at the concept of the refugees being ditched here if the result was an increase in social progress?

OD, if that happens Cambodia will truly be the kingdom of wonder. But am I really the only stupid SOB who thought that the opposition would really be that loyal or otherwise. Kem Sokha has 20 advisers. It seems to me like a sellout.

Just ran across this, too late unfortunately to add to the above post. It looks like a fire sale on souls. See http://www.thecambodiaherald.com/cambod ... avior-7459
