Siem Reap, Cambodia News: Chi Sreng district police chief Colonel Sok Sotheavut said that on August 8 2019, a violent incident occurred where a man had struck a woman in the face causing her serious injuries. Chi Kreng district police have arrested the suspect and have already sent the case to the special office on suspicion of intentional violence, he said. He said the suspect was identified as Hang Sei, a 52-year-old male from Patat village, Kok Leuk commune, Chi Kraeng district.

On the day of the incident, 56-year-old Park Chak, a male resident of Patat village, Kouk Leuk commune, Chi Kraeng district, filed a complaint to the lower court, alleging that Hang Sei, beat his wife, Chin Mao, 46.
According to the suspect's confession, the woman insulted him, so he struck the victim twice in the face making her fall to the ground.
According to the victim's husband, Park Chak, his wife became angry because the suspect's cows were eating her garden. An argument ensued and the suspect struck the victim causing a serious head and facial injury. The women is currently being treated by Siem Reap Referral Hospital.

The husband said that he is asking the authorities for help to bring justice to his family, because he was afraid of losing the case because the suspect is rich and he is poor.
Police in Siem Reap province confirmed that the case had already been filed with the police, with the suspect being charged and sent to jail.
