Bavet Border

Bavet, Cambodia News: Border authorities from the Bavet International Police Station, have issued a statement firmly denying allegations of corruption which appeared on a social media post on 2 August 2019.
There have been complaints that Cambodian nationals are being asked to pay a "fee" at the border crossing to Vietnam, when officially Cambodian citizens carrying passports for entry and exit are not required to pay the visa application fee or entry fee fixed for foreign nationals.
Authorities point out that if citizens have any problems, there is a complaint box for receiving and receiving feedback, reviewed by the Deputy Director General of the Immigration Department every two weeks.

Bavet International Police Station totally reject the comments of the original post published on social media website on August 2, 2019, as a distortion, not a fact.

I dont know about Bavet but Cambodians definitely have to pay a fee of 20,000 riel at O'Smach plus another 200 baht on the Thai side. On the return journey payment is not required. Paradoxically it seems foreigners do not have to pay.
