"Phnom Penh (FN), July 29 – Cambodian Prime Minister HE firmly committed to implement the fifth approach, ‘surgery’, to dismiss corrupted officials, speaking during his visit to the new stadium Morodok Techo National Stadium on Monday."
"The premier’s warning was made after the director of Pursat Provincial Cadastral Office and two other officials were arrested on the ground of corruption by the Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) on Saturday morning, 27 July 2019 in Pursat province. The trio include: Cadastral Office director Leam Bunroeun; deputy director of construction Cheang Vuthy; and another official Te Buntheng. They asked for USD 100,000 from an investor who requested for paperwork to construct a factory in Pursat."
"“We must take out sand and gravels from shoes to continue walking. The fifth approach applies to the big and small,” he underlined.
“Surgery” is the fifth approach for better governance. The other four are self-reflection, showering, exfoliation, treatment.

No shit.... I should have waited to renew my EOS. Good to know it's 180$ dollars now and the anti corruption unit will be there in second if they ask for more.

Should, but those guys are most likely sending a healthy tithing up the chain.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 12:25 pm Should start by checking over those closest to him if he's serious about it...
It's these randy underlings lower down the governmental rungs who don't send a sufficient 'taste' up the patronage ladder. So no protection proffered.

Does no one note the irony of the country's most successful corrupt official declaring war on corruption?
