Drunk Russian Woman Raped Twice by Thai Man on Phuket
A 33-year-old drunk Russian woman on Phuket was raped twice early Saturday after she accepted a lift from a Thai man on his motorbike as she was walking home from a party.

The man offered to take her to the hotel. But instead, he took her to his rented room ... There, he tied her hands with and raped her. She was afraid that he might become violent, so she did not resist." The man raped her twice without using a condom before taking her back to her hotel.
After she reported the rape to local police, they checked CCTV footage in the area and were soon able to indentify and arrest the 33-year-old Thai man.

the dark numbers are much higher than in western countries, imo.

because these women are on holiday, they are strangers at the place, only there a short time, they get openly discouraged and ridiculed at the police when reporting (see the case of the dutch girl).

its a common thing in thailand, to compensate the victim financially.
so, western women should get a hefty monetary compensation as well. but - are tourists offered one ?

is it cheap in thailand to assault westerners?

rapists/thieves etc. can sell their motorbikes/houses etc.
even if victims/relatives dont want that money for themselves, they may give it to some credible organisation.

in a country, where monetary compensation even protects from punishment and where the police may get rewarded for fucking up a case, every westerner should expect a financial compensation as well. perhaps they get ?

i believe, that there are statistically more scandinavian women reporting such crimes (so it might look, as if they are more attacked)... that is because in their countries they are used to a very very equal system even more supporting to females than other western coutnries.

so, they have a natural high trust in reporting such a crime.

without CCTVs or DNA they would never catch even a single rapist and they would blame some random burmese illegal worker just as they did in Ko Tao.
