^^^ The cost of housing relative to average income has gone haywire.
New Zealand is one of the more catastrophic examples. The country's population explosion of the last decade has left NZ 130,000 houses short of what is needed.
The mass of the relentless yearly migration gains of 50,000 or so, peaking at 70,000 a few years back, are new immigrants.
With migration levels outpacing construction, prices and rents will remain at crippling levels.

Apparently, as a non-American, I am not supposed to comment on that country. However, some here qualify to do so. Perhaps one of them could explain how and where this year's influx of many hundreds of thousands of illegals into the US will be housed.

We will send them to the USSRNZ.

Our fearful leader here has just ordered that no further refugee applications will be accepted from those passing through intermediary countries prior to trying to enter USA.

This is in line with UNHCR conventions and should satisfy the chicken Hawks who have so many opinions on the conduct of US military operations yet never served in their own armed forces.

The begpackers, gofundnme, etc., I don’t mind. Because I have the choice to give money to them or not. When these loonies control the government and pass laws to have the government take money from me to fund their begpacking, gofundme, and other loonie ideas, that’s where my dander goes up.

The official title of Nazi was national socialists. Yet socialists decry all that oppose them as Nazis.

I don’t get it.

I suppose I stayed quiet from the start of this thread. I did so deliberately. My point, more than anything, was that the route to trying to get what people want, was to get others to pay for it.

One or two posters made a very credible response regarding healthcare and emergency medical treatment. I'll admit, I hadn't really thought that part through. Nonetheless, If we make exceptions for those (and I in no way undermine their cases), my point was always about those that don't want to work, or earn, their way in life.

Perhaps I am too simplistic. Perhaps I am too old too really understand. Who knows?

My position remains the same. Get off your fat ass, get a job, go earn the money you need. Then take a life break. I've worked for 35 years. I earned the right to take a break and judge everyone around me. Cambodia or otherwise, I earned it.
