Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): A 16-year-old boy, Sok Visal, was sent to court on July 18, 2019, for snatching a bag from a foreigner on July 16, at 00:30 am on street 111/232, Sangkat Beung Brolet, Phnom Penh.

The suspect and two others on two motorbikes rode past and tried to snatch a bag from an unidentified foreigner who was standing on the street. They weren't able to get the bag, and the suspect's motorbike fell over, dumping him on the ground. The nearby police arrested the suspect immediately, and two others ran away to escape.

The suspect also confessed that in 2018, he and his team snatched a bag containing US$100, on street 310, Khan Chamkarmorn.

Cambodia really needs a '' boot camp '' or a '' chain gang ''.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

That might actually be quite a good business idea - a youth camp (perhaps no chains) for parents trying to straighten out their wayward/troubled teens before they go off the rails completely.

I like the '' chain gang '' idea for youths that have commited petty crimes. It's no good putting them in prison or making them pay back money , property or for any damage they have done if they have no money or job. The humiliation to them of cleaning roadsides or whatever may make them think twice next time, or do we just continue on with the ''mob justice '' system.

There is a boot camp like that in Banteay Meanchey. It's generally reserved for more well off families' errant youngsters, as it costs a few hundred dollars or so to sign up.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
