Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): Another down and out European man has been picked up by police on the streets of Phnom Penh and taken to the Immigration Department.
On July 17, 2019, at 02:20 pm, the Department of Investigation and Procedure of the General Immigration Department, received a 37-year-old Danish man, JESPER VINTHER NIELSEN, for not possessing a passport, and for causing a public disturbance in front of Smile mart, street 136, Khan Don Penh, Phnom Penh.

After questioning him, the police found that the Danish man has only been in Cambodia for a month, arriving as a tourist on June 14, 2019, through Phnom Penh International Airport. A week ago he gave his passport to a tuktuk driver in exchange for $30. The tuk-tuk driver has disappeared, the $30 is gone, and the Dane is homeless and penniless and without a passport.

The police took him to the immigration department to follow the legal procedure.

Update: According to Swift News, the homeless Dane was picked up after he was caught shoplifting in Smile mart on St 136 and employees called the police.

It should read hopeless Dane, WTF would anyone in their right mind come over here skint, It's hard enough living here with money, if ever I was down to my last 500 dollars I'm on a plane back to UK.
