High School Kid Killed in Hit and Run

Tboung Khmum, Cambodia News: At 11:50 am on July 16, 2019, in Ponhea Krek district, Tbong Khmum province, a 17-year-old high school student was killed in a hit and run road accident. A white Range Rover, plate number 2BG 7668, was driving fast when it hit the student while he was driving his motorbike on the National 7 road. The boy was thrown from his bike, and taken to Ponhea Krek Refugee Referral Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The driver did not stop, but drove on for about a kilometer down the road before abandoning the car and running away from the scene. He is being sought by the police.
Both vehicles have been removed to the police station as evidence and an inquiry is under way.
