Burmese Man Arrested for Bouncing Check in Siem Reap
Cambodia Breaking News (Siem Reap): On July 13, 2019, at 09:00 pm, a 29-year-old Burmese man, OKKAR KYWE, general manager of Adventure Cambodia Tour company, was arrested for fraud in Siem Reap.
On May 28, the suspect gave a check for US$1,500 issued from the Cathay Limited Bank to Royal Angkor Resort. But when the hotel staff took the check to the bank, it was refused because there was no money in the account. After that, when the suspect didn't sort out the problem, the resort made a complaint to the police.
The Siem Reap prosecutor decided to detain the suspect at the police station for case preparation.
