Fruit salad anyone?
Japanese man buys bunch of grapes for $11,000 (or $460 a pop):
Should go well with the $4,400 strawberry (yes, that is for a single strawberry) or $550 apple.
https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/ ... index.html(CNN) — Visitors to a hot spring in central Japan will soon be able to snack on $460 grapes, or rather, grape.
That's after the manager of a chain of hot spring hotels in Ishikawa Prefecture, on the northern coast of the main Honshu island, became the winning bidder for a bunch of Ruby Roman grapes at an auction in Kanazawa on Tuesday.
Should go well with the $4,400 strawberry (yes, that is for a single strawberry) or $550 apple.

Probably get more bang for his publicity buck promoting his chain of hot spring hotels this way than he would have any other with $11000.

That is true. Like the Japanese restaurant owner that forked over $3 million for a tuna earlier this year. Still, lots of money to pay for a few grapes.Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 12:59 pm Probably get more bang for his publicity buck promoting his chain of hot spring hotels this way than he would have any other with $11000.
